Sharon Baldacci received a degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in mass communications. She worked part-time as a state correspondent for a daily newspaper, covering two rural counties to build up writing clips that finally landed me a full-time job on a small county weekly as an education and features writer. Sharon was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and by 1985 could no longer work full time. She did freelance writing for various regional publications, but by 1994, that also was too exhausting. After her brother, David Baldacci, began selling bestselling novels, Sharon started writing fiction, because "there has always been a need to write, to communicate." Sharon lives in Virginia.
