Stark is a fierce, horned alien with a military past and a self-made fortune. Can a joyful Terran girl chase away his ghosts and bring his heart thundering back to life?

Olivia Sinclair loves her tiny apartment and her job cracking online code to find holes in security systems. But her infertility has left her desperately lonely. On Terra-58, a woman can’t marry until she has conceived a child, so Olivia spends all her money and free time on visits to the local fertility clinic as her savings and hope dwindle.

Then she stumbles across a secret fertility program that just might put a baby in her arms
and satisfy her curiosity about Oberon, the powerful computer that runs the mysterious center.

When she arrives, she learns she will have to make a baby the old-fashioned way with the brawny alien warrior who is waiting for her. Stark’s gruff demeanor and wicked horns have her shivering, but she feels strangely drawn to the mountain of a man who so badly wants a baby of his own.

Stark Rawling wants only two things: redemption from his military past, and a child to love. The self-made billionaire’s employees say behind his back that he’s cold, but he didn’t get where he is by taking it easy.

When he cuts a deal with the center to provide him with a surrogate as part of his contract to design new security for them, he doesn’t expect to find himself fighting hard not to fall for the young Terran girl with the joyful smile and infectious laugh. Now the big alien warrior has to protect his heart as well as the center.

And that’s easier said than done when the two must share a bed in the most romantic place in the known universe.

When outside forces threaten to topple the delicate balance of life inside, Stark will have to face his feelings and Olivia will have to open her heart to him if they want to survive.
