It’s March 2020. The UK is in lockdown from Covid and reluctant sleuth and avid crafter Amy Hammond and her partner Peter Cunningham, the nothing like as retired as he claims that he wants to be spy are determined to play their parts.

Swansmere, the estate where Amy runs the craft centre, is repurposing its cafe as a farm shop that does home deliveries nd buying food from their wholesaler to split into small packages for those who don’t need enough to buy a supermarket delivery.

They’re taking the planned quilt show online and recruiting famous crafter Meg Betteridge to help and are busy doing deliveries so surely they can’t find trouble, can they?

But then an old friend asks them to help an elderly lady to find out why she was abandoned during an air raid in World War Two and they discover that there are all sorts of Echoes from the past that are more relevant that they could imagine. Can they solve the mystery as the seventy fifth anniversary of D-day approaches? And what will happen with Amy and Peter’s relationship now that they’ve moved in together?
