The last thing that events organiser Rory needed was his Santa and all his elves being poached by the unscrupulous local businessman who raped Mel five years before and left her pregnant with her son.
But what you need and what you get are often very different things, so Mel finds herself with a new job as head elf and organiser of a very different sort of Christmas. She and Rory have to work closely together, especially since Slimy Simon, or Slimon as Rory insists on calling him is still out to spoil things.
