Widow Pippa Lloyd is struggling to make a new life when she moves into a flat in Lavender House so that she can set up a museum honouring the pilots and boat girls of the flying boats that were the UK’s only link with the rest of the world during much of World War Two. She’s been struggling to deal with people, so she wasn’t expecting the friendship she finds, especially from local history buff Neil Hanlon.
