Marnie Salter comes to the lovely little village of Windy Bay to run the Little School, which doesnt have to follow the National Curriculum but does have to answer to Chairman of the Governors and Lord of the Manor and all round power house, Toby Druett. He has strong ideas about what a school should be, which is fine by her because she left her previous school after blowing the whistle on them for dubious practices.
