A Novella by

Archer Radcliffe—uptight rich guy, eighty times loser at love but who’s counting, vampire—has had it with the charms and wiles of the opposite sex. He’s over love and resigned to spending eternity alone—well, except for his deceased lifelong friend’s son, Julian. Archer promised Newton he would watch over the kid, and even though Julian’s an adult now, Archer still looks out for him. Except ne’er-do-well Julian, fresh out of college at 200 years of age, is now working for Love Bites, a paranormal dating agency. And Julian’s one request of Archer is to give the agency a chance. After all, if Julian can orchestrate at least one good match, he can add it to his rather short list of accomplishments.

Trixie Jones hails from the south side—read the
wrong side—of the Bledsoe Drye Railroad tracks. She’s dated them, kissed them, and used them in potions, and she’s so done with frogs—and men, too. On the south side of the tracks, the dating pool is smaller than the pond in her grandma’s backyard, and the men are either simple mortals or warlocks. Ready for some adventure and maybe even a little glitz and glamour, Trixie decides to visit Love Bites, the paranormal dating agency, and venture outside the tracks.

But what happens when the inept nerd at the dating agency mixes up her answers and sets her up with some ancient, high-falutin’ vampire who has a penchant for expensive bourbon, a pocket watch, and mansplaining? Will Archer and Trixie hit it off or kill each other in the process?
