Evergreen Lake is my home. I love everything about it, from the scenic views to the small-town vibes. One thing we do well is celebrate Christmas, from a 70-foot Christmas tree to Santa decorating cookies with the kids.
The only problem with Evergreen Lake? Finding a man who’s willing to live there. My best friend found her Knight in Shining Armor at a celebrity golf benefit.

Yeah, I’m stuck with my business, Lips & Hips Bistro, and eating pints of chocolate, banana, and peanut butter ice cream.
Until my best friend’s football catching brother-in-law shows up with his little boy in tow.
It’s a good thing the man is gorgeous because his grumpy a.s.s. needs to be tossed into a frozen lake.

✓Injured during the first pre-season football game,
✓Soon-to-be ex-wife left me for another player,
✓Barely know my son,
✓Stuck at Evergreen Lake visiting family,
✓Some klutz rammed a luggage rack into my injured knee, &
✓And the people here start celebrating Christmas before the Thanksgiving turkey is cooked.
But none of it matters.
My only focus is buckling down and getting back on the field.
The only problem is that my brother has saddled me with his wife’s best friend as a tour guide, and she’s getting under my skin.
Before I know it, I’m glaring at the man Norah’s mother wants her to marry and following her around like a lovesick puppy.
