All stories end, and Mercy Willow knows that the end of her story is rapidly approaching. First, though, she has to get through one last day and try to save as much of Candleward as possible.

For many years, a deadly plan has been unfolding on the Cornish coast. Mercy is just the latest person to wander into this vicious trap, but as she tries to find some way to escape, she also has to contend with the long-awaited return of her two alter egos. Annabelle and Jessica are back in town, and they both want to settle a few scores.

Meanwhile, Nathan's wedding day is approaching, but so is the day of reckoning for a mysterious cult that has hidden beneath the surface of Candleward for many years. With so many dangers approaching from every angle, can Mercy find some way to save the people she loves before her own mind destroys her forever?

The End of Mercy Willow is the thirteenth and final book in the 13-part Mercy Willow series, about an estate agent in deepest Cornwall who develops the unusual ability to communicate with ghosts. Readers are advised to start at the beginning of the series.
