Ten years ago, Rebecca and Jonathan Pearson were full-time university professors and part-time debunkers of all things paranormal. They got a kick out of proving that so-called hauntings were in fact either mistakes or – in some cases – scams.

And then they arrived at Marlstone Hall, a remote orphanage far out in the English countryside.

At first, Marlstone Hall seems like any other job. Strange noises have been heard and mysterious apparitions have appeared in front of both staff and children. Rebecca and Jonathan feel certain that they will soon be able to add the house to their list of accomplishments.

Yet as their usual methods continue to fail, they find themselves starting to consider the impossible. Is the supposed haunting of Marlstone Hall simply a very clever trick, perhaps the cleverest yet, or have the Pearsons met their match? Will two of the world's most renowned investigators finally have to admit that ghosts are real?

The Haunting of Marlstone Hall is the second book in the Ghosts of Rose Radcliffe series, about a team of paranormal investigators and their encounters with the supernatural. Each book tells a standalone story but readers are advised to read them in order.
