When Luke Ryatt arrived in Dodge in answer to Ned Coster's summons, he found his old friend dead. Ned had never gotten the chance to tell Ryatt what was so important, but it wasn't like Ned to commit suicide - no matter what the townspeople said. Then Ryatt learned there was a lot of money missing - money Colonel Morgan and his boys, fresh from a cattle drive, said was theirs.
