The Lonely Place

The laconic L.A. private investigator Mike Faraday is hired to discover who is behind the death-threats to millionaire ex-silent movie star Francis Bolivar. He finds a strange state of affairs at Bolivar's Gothic mansion, Castillo Del Monte, which leads to a horrifying mass slaughter when a negro chauffeur goes berserk. In one of his most exciting assignments, Mike - aided by the astringent Stella - uncovers a ruthless plot to gain Bolivar's millions.
