My new friends were... different. That's the only way I could explain the two women I literally ran into at the grocery store. Typically shy and withdrawn, I found myself wanting to know about them. How was I supposed to know that an impulsive invite to dinner would turn my life upside down?

I'd always thought paranormal beings and creatures were reserved only for storybooks and fairytales. But when my new friends, Kimmie and Courtney, told me about their "missions" I didn't know whether to believe them or call the nearest psych hospital to have them evaluated. Those types of creatures didn't exist, right?

Or so, that's what I believed until my friends went missing. With no one able to help me, but a strange man named Alistair, I found myself going on an adventure of my own, and sucked into a world ripped straight from the pages of a best-selling novel. Soon I doubted everything I'd ever thought to be real. Finding myself strangely attracted to the dark and mysterious man I knew nothing about, I was drawn to his quiet demeanor and willing to entrust him with my life. Could he help me save my friends? Or was it too late?
