Mistletoe for Grinch Charming
(2023)(A book in the Legends of Whistle Pine Falls series)
A novel by Clover Clements
Do I want to kiss her? So much.
Does she want me to kiss her? Ive never been so sure of anything.
Should I kiss her? Probably not.
I do not kiss girls with boyfriends.
But what about girls with fake boyfriends?
Oliver Finch Gordon is equal parts scowly with a touch of stormy broodiness, and charming with a touch of sweetness. A deadly combo. He pretends to hate my cookies while stealing them off the kitchen counter. He glares at the townspeople but helps Miss Charlotte with her leaky roof for free. All while wearing flannel, wielding a hammer, and making gifts with his own hands. Deadly to my freedoms indeed.
Who wouldnt fake a boyfriend to keep a guy like that from kissing you in front of two crackling fires while the worlds best romcom plays in the background?
No? Thats just me? Super.
Shes faking a boyfriend to keep her distance. That should be all the red flags I need. Ive had my fill of changeable women. But what I cant figure out is that if shes so against relationships, why does she keep feeding me cookies and dinner, forcing me to watch holiday chick flicks, and fitting so perfectly into my arms?
I guess its normal for a woman to avoid relationships with men theyre attracted to and enjoy being with.
No? Thats just Sabrina? Great.
When the mistletoe pops up all over town, and a dying man makes a final request, priorities will refocus. The mistletoe always wins. But will it win too late?
Need some holiday cheer? Let Sabrina bake you some Christmas cookies and listen to Grinch Charming grumble his way into your heart. And hers.
