The Blue Bar (2023)
(Blue Mumbai, book 1)
Damyanti Biswas
"It's almost unfair to describe Damyanti Biswas's The Blue Bar as a page-turner - which, believe me, it is. But that was my problem - at every turn of the page I wanted to go back and re-read the lush descriptions of Indian culture and daily life, the marvelous character sketches, the intriguing settings at once familiar and foreign. This isn't just a great thriller - it's an immersive fictional experience by a writer at the top of her game."

Copy Boy (2020)
(Jane Benjamin, book 1)
Shelley Blanton-Stroud
"Shelley Blanton-Stroud’s Copy Boy is one of those novels that can rekindle your faith in fiction. Her distinctive voice, command of historical details, and sheer storytelling verve show through on every page. Maybe this exact story never happened, but it should have?in exactly this way. A bravura debut?I’m expecting great things from this author."

Deep Six (2016)
(Jake Longly, book 1)
D P Lyle
"Wistfully dogged, romance-challenged, wisecracking hero Jake Longly calls to mind James Crumley’s C.W. Sughrue, and I can’t think of higher praise. The story is paced like a lightning strike aimed directly at the human heart."
