I Wasnt There is a selection of poems touching on death, teenage crushes, fairy stories, family, and love. Written with love for you to read with love!
I dont know why but I run outside and stand in the garden, shivering, my face turned to the milky sky, arms clenched rigidly around my body, for the air is freezing now and the snow falling thicker and faster and I worry that Becky is cold she wont be cold will she? Mum will keep her warm and Dad, and Dave, and Lily my mother-in-law. She should have a scarf, a warm coat, gloves, a hat I didnt think of that at the time. I wish that she was at home, cosy, sitting on the fluffy orange rug in front of the fire, and not in a box with a nailed lid, that lies down a deep dark hole in the earth. My heart pounds with terror.
