Edel Coffey recommends
Breakdown (2023)
Cathy Sweeney
"I loved this. It skewers mid-life motherhood malaise. A Falling Down for suburban housewives. A gripping study of middle-aged womanhood and shelved dreams. Subversive, darkly funny, tragic and illuminating all at once."
Someone You Trust (2023)
Rachel Ryan
"A gripping, contemporary gothic thriller. I tore through it. I simply couldn't put it down!"
The Quiet Tenant (2023)
Clémence Michallon
"Breathtakingly brilliant. I tore through it and was absolutely hooked from the first chapter. It tells us so much about how gender works in our society, about power dynamics in relationships and what can lie behind the illusion of a good husband, father and neighbour. An absorbing and addictive psychological thriller - I couldn't put it down."
