Elizabeth, an American Widow in her 60s, is back at her favorite place in the world, the Hotel Marcel, in Paris, near the Eiffel Tower. It is a beautiful early October, as she pursues the passions of friends and strangers. A vindictive woman from her past tries to steal her identity but is confounded by a mysterious man who foils her intent. There is laughter and love as well: seduction in a lavish hotel suite; a would-be marriage ceremony in a French chateau; and a surprise ending.
