Building Faith

This story begins with the uterine cancer diagnosis that left me feeling hopeless and heartroken. In despair, I delayed treatment for a year. I wanted to die. I meant to die. But something miraculous happened after the successful operation that removed the cancer with no further treatment required. The day after the operation, the hospital's female chaplain brought me a Bible to replace the one I'd left at home. I was a daily Bible reader. She also brought a slender religious brochure that fascinated me so that I read it again and again. I am a successful romantic suspense and mystery writer who had wanted to write inspirational books for 20 years, but some unknown fear stopped me.

From that time in the hopistal, this book began to form in my mind, and I knew from the beginning that I would write it.. For I had begun to feel God's presence far more deeply as it permeated my mind, my spirit, and my life. There was no turning back. Fear was in me, but so was determination. Now God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit have changed my life. I know that His presence in me is far, far stronger than anything else in this world. He lives. He is. and He is forever with each and every one of us.. We have only to seek Him to know His blessings.
