(A book in the Jillian Warne Campus Mystery series)
A collection of stories by

This collection presents four new mysteries by Gray Cavender. Two of these feature homicide investigations by fictional protagonist, Detective-Sergeant Jillian Warne of the Arizona State University Police Department. Warne appeared in Cavender's past novel Death of the Ayn Rand Scholar, and his compilation, The Pandemic Casebook of Jillian Warne (Amazon, 2021). In the first story here, Jillian is again loaned to the Tempe Police Department to help solve the murder of a controversial Arizona congresswoman. In Wine Crime, Jillian helps solve a murder in Southern Arizona's wine country.

The last two stories in this collection are set in Tennessee, and inspired by Gray's boyhood and early work experiences there.
Stray Dog Law Firm features a young prosecutor faced with a career-threatening moral dilemma, and Echoes from Cherry Bottom is about a 15-year-old boy trying to solve a mystery and protect his hero in a small Tennessee town during the 1960s.
