H V Coombs

Alex Howard was born in Lambeth, London in 1961. He grew up in Buckinghamshire, Bourne End and was educated at grammar school in Marlow & then studied Arabic and Islamic History at St Peter's College Oxford and Edinburgh University. He spent three years teaching for the British Council in the Middle East and taught TEFL in London for many years. Whilst at home looking after his children, he re-trained as a chef and worked in a variety of kitchens, from restaurants to conference centres. He has written the Hanlon books for Head of Zeus and is currently working on a new project for Harper Collins. Alex Howard is married with two children.
