God's Country

In one of the tenderest love stories which James Oliver Curwood, the great writer of the far North, has ever penned, the Canadian wilderness hero, Phillip Weyman, agrees to help Josephine Adare, her family, and friends against the wiles and lechery of an outlaw gang, while the Russett and Barton Lumber Companies clash.

The book was made into a Vitagraph movie, starring Neill Shipman and William Duncan in 1915, and in 1936 it was a Warner Brother picture starring George Brent and Beverly Roberts, directed by William Keighley (early versions of this movie used the title The Avenging Stranger)..
