Schoolteacher Meghan Sullivan needs to prove herself. When she accepts the job in Flintrock, Montana, as sole teacher to five grades, she confronts the biggest challenge of her life.

Luke MacAllister, president of the Flintrock school board, takes on look at Meghan and doubts she has the grit to last out a year in a one room school. Guardian to his two nieces, Luke has no reason to trust women or the emotion called love.
