Grinding For Credits

(2024)
(The second book in the Stellar Frontier series)

Day two in Stellar Frontier turns out to be even more hectic than the first. First DarkZero has a run-in with Vigilant Security Solutions and then Bruvoug assures him the power substation mission will be a quick milk-run for some easy credits and salvage. It better be because Zero is back to his starter weapons.

Everything seems to be going as Bruvoug had promised until he discovers the reason for the power outage at the Areopoli Outpost. The mission turns into a rabbit hole for Zero to fall down. Even though he’s risking his next run into the mine, it’s hard to pass up on the possible phat rewards and sweet loot he could get from this new opportunity.

The only problem is that the plusses are just as extreme as the minuses. While it would be smarter to keep the gains that Zero has made so far and head back, there’s no way that he can simply pass up the lure of sweet loot. He just needs to make sure not to get too greedy or the inevitable trip back to the Clone System will ruin any chance of heading back down into the mine to recover his corpse.
