They were real and came in peace looking for a new home, their people in decline. Their females few in number with poor fertility. With all their advanced technology nothing seemed to work. The gift of a child almost out of reach to all. Their race would soon be gone unless they found out why.
They'd hoped to start anew. More advanced than humans from worlds away they brought a brighter future for all. Advances in all fields given freely to generate a better world. And yet, their own fertility failed them. Something was wrong with their genetic lines. Males remained fertile but females failed to conceive. They were dying out. A few more generations and they'd be gone. The duty on the males weighed heavily. Each unsuccessful joining a reminder of what was at risk, their way of life.
What had gone wrong? No one knew but they needed answers. One chance encounter with a human female could hold all the answers……
The humans wouldn’t like it. His people might not accept it. But she was his and he’d have her no matter what he had to do to make it happen.
