Out of the Shadows

Why does Carol Marsh, the new receptionist at the country inn in Devon, have to report to the police regularly? Why does she never ask for time off and reject all attempts by the owner, Norman Willis, to be friendly? Then, Norman's wife is found dead in suspicious circumstances. Could Carol have had some part in her death? Yvonne's relationship with her husband had deteriorated since Carol's arrival.
