When her West End stage play closes, Clare Martin decides to explore Britain. A strange compulsion takes her to a Scottish village, Fasnich, and to the Carnegie House Hotel. Her stay is cutshort by a terrifying feeling of deja vu, and gradually, Clare realises that she had been there before as a child... and some terrible occurrence has erased her memory of it. As the drama of love and death unfolds, Clare realises that she is in grave danger, and only one man can save her.
