The Riddle of Mystery Inn

(2004)
A novel by

B.J. Galloway, a part time P.I., wanted to take his girlfriend, Teri Owens, away for a fun weekend. He chose the Mystery Inn on the Sabine River, never expecting that a real murder would take place during a theatre performance. Now, he has been hired to clear the woman who stands accused, a task that could be further complicated by the inn's strange history.

Years ago, the huge Victorian house's owner was killed behind the locked door of his office. The police were baffled, and the murder was never solved. After the owner's death, it was rumored that he had hidden a large sum of cash somewhere in the house, which has yet to be found. The owner's partner bought the estate and turned it into a bed and breakfast for ghost lovers. Tourists from all over come to encounter the supernatural and search for the missing money.

Galloway's the exception. He doesn't believe in séances, ghosts, or goblins, and he's out to find a human murderer, of flesh and blood, by piecing together solid, physical evidence that has nothing to do with the paranormal.
