Cindi Phillips, a pretty young girl from Iowa, is missing - or is she? Her worried mother certainly thinks so, and turns for help to her brother, Rick LaBlonde -- a private investigator and recently retired New York City cop. But when Rick starts to investigate his niece's whereabouts, he discovers a mystery that is more than he bargained for. From Bermuda to Miami to Dallas to Las Vegas, Rick traces the trail of not only Cindi, but several other young women who seem similarly to have disappeared. Are these girls really even missing? And if so, who is behind it - and why? As the mystery grows more complex, it also gets more dangerous for Rick, who seems to have stumbled onto something far bigger than a simple missing person. Even if Cindi is still alive, can Rick stay alive long enough to find her?
