The Jinn-Bot of Shantiport (2023)
Samit Basu
"A wildly exuberant mash-up of top-class storytelling, gleeful mockery, and engaging characters we care desperately about. Basu is playing with tropes and messing about with narrative, while at the same time telling a heartfelt story with high stakes and enthralling action. The most fun I have had with SF in ages."

The Mimicking of Known Successes (2023)
(Investigations of Mossa and Pleiti, book 1)
Malka Older
"A magnificently imaginative setting, a nicely developed and satisfyingly resolved mystery, a beautifully understated central romance, and a lot of thought-provoking ideas make this an immensely satisfying read [that] does more at novella length than many books manage in three times as much."
thumb
A Lady for a Duke (2022)
Alexis Hall
"Absurdly funny and swoonily romantic, with a sharp edge of wit and observation that keeps the story bounding along."
