Ringo The Ghost Cat

(2015)
A Story by

"My name is Ringo and before we start, let's get one thing straight. I'm a ghost, not a zombie. Zombies are only half-dead and I never do anything half-way." Ringo lived every one of his nine lives to the fullest, so when given the chance to return to the world as a Ghost, his was the first tail up! Now he is faced with his first assignment - leading a stray kitten named Jack home to his mother. A couple of menacing dogs might just send Ringo and Jack back to the great scratching post in the sky!

Awarded First Place in Children / Juvenile / Young Adult the Wyoming Writer's, Inc. competition, June 2015. Written for middle grades, but equally appealing to adults.

ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED AS TWO SEPARATE STORIES: RINGO THE GHOST CAT AND BOOTS
