Sarah Hudson's aunt realised she had spoilt her niece. At nineteen Sarah should be doing more than attending student demonstrations and running around with an unsuitable boyfriend. So Aunt Muriel firmly whisked Sarah away into a job with Mrs Demaine, who helped her son Simon with his gardening business. Sarah was not at all happy about the job, but the fact that the moment she saw Simon Demaine she fell in love with him made her stick it out. When everything started to go wrong, Aunt Muriel wondered whether her method of dealing with Sarah was doing more harm than good...
