(1972)
A novel by

Elderly Mrs Redmayne had always been like a mother to her three adopted girls - Irene, June and Rosemary - and when her health began to fail there had been some argument as to which of them should handle her affairs for her. Irene's duty was to her husband. June had a responsible job as a nurse which she could hardly give up. So that left Rosemary - and it wasn't long before she realized what a task she had taken on! If only she had a man like Kenneth Grant to lean on - but Kenneth was June's property. Could Rosemary manage alone?
