Splintered Dreams

Do we stay, or do we run? Turn right, left, or run straight on? What do we do, now? Seemingly innocuous questions, but in an apocalyptic or post-apocalyptic situation the answers to these questions can prolong or shorten your life. Sword, sub-machinegun, rifle, or explosives? Kill, let live, escape or help? Choices Food, water, shelter, medicine, all things which we presently take for granted could very quickly assume the worth of the Hope Diamond. Even a lowly roll of toilet paper can assume a value that it's never had before. "Hey buddy, I'll give you half a mag of 5.56 for a roll of your toilet paper" "Plus the mag, or just the rounds?" These are stories which ask those questions, when 'what if' finally happens and the entire world is turned upside down. What could possibly happen, what might we do about it; some stories might even discuss how we can prepare for it, or at least point a direction. Some of the best authors in their respective genres have contributed to this work, some you may have heard of, others not so much, but they all share a fervor and an expertise in their respective fields which drives them on to make sure that their works are as technically correct as they are engaging.
