Chance
Chance McCellan didn’t have many hardships. In fact, his life had been paved in privilege since before he’d even been born. A Sands Cove child, and a Windsor Academy baby, Chance had always been able to get away with murder. Still, he wasn’t the only one. His entire family were able to do whatever they hell that they wanted, and that was something that Chance had always taken advantage of.
Despite his charmed life, there’s one regret that has haunted him for three years, and not one to let life control him, Chance finally decides to do something about it. Harper Crosby didn’t let life’s hardships get her down. In fact, the harder that life knocked her down, the stronger she was when she got back up. Though she lived in Sands Cove and went to Windsor Academy, that didn’t mean that she had immunity from the harsher side of life. With only one friend to her credit, that was enough for Harper because people were crappy. Just look at her parents.
Despite her determination to remain positive, there’s one experience that she can’t shake, and it’s not for lack of trying. For three years, Harper’s been doing her best to move past other people’s opinions of her, but words did have the ability to hurt, regardless of that stupid Sticks-and-Stones limerick. With her pride, dignity, and intelligence in her corner, she’s focused on ignoring the past once and for all.

When it’s been three years and there’s no stopping the final confrontation…
After trying to make things right for three years, Chance is no longer willing to sit back and wait. With time not on his side, Harper Crosby no longer has the luxury of going about her business, acting like he doesn’t exist. It’s time to bring out the big guns, and he’s really good at doing that.
