Gerra is a mining planet, adequately named after the Babylonian and Akkadian god of fire. On its surface is constant lava flow spewed from a planetwide series of volcanic eruptions. But on a dormant region, a high tech mine harvests an ore found nowhere else in the universe. However, contact has been lost with the facility and its members.
Believing it to be the result of intergalactic terrorists, a trillion-dollar company enlists the help of the Marine Corps to go to the planet and investigate. Led by Lieutenant Gamble, a squad of soldiers are deployed to Gerra. What they find are worse than terrorists.
The minors had dug too deep and inadvertently unearthed an underground ecosystem of horrifying creatures. Giant wasps patrol the air; hordes of arachnids have weaved grotesque nests inside the facility; hungry packs of velociraptors actively hunt for anything that breathes.
Stranded on the planet, the marines are forced to fight their way through the facility and survive The Dark Secrets of Gerra.
Genre: Science Fiction
