What was Sir Robert Carey like in 1568 when he was eight? Perhaps a quiet, studious boy...?
Er... no. He was already charming and ingenious, full of energy -- and perpetually in trouble.
This short story opens the Young Carey series and shows him at home at Hunsdon manor, playing tricks, maddening everybody and generally being a thorough nuisance to his father, Henry Carey Lord Hunsdon and his mother, Lady Ann Hunsdon. They can't even send him to be a page in someone else's household! What on earth will they do with him?
Genre: Historical
