Dawn has been kidnapped for a ransom, but by mistake. The villains meant to kidnap her cousin who looks almost like her twin sister. Dawn manages to break free from the ramshackle hut in the woods where she is being held. However, it is raining hard and as she runs away through the woods, she gets very cold, very wet, and completely exhausted. Finally she collapses unconscious from hypothermia in the kitchen garden of Viscount Tassie's house. She is found, taken in and made warm, but after several days she still isn't waking up.
The Viscount recalls the story of Sleeping Beauty who is awakened with a kiss, but he can't do this, can he? It would be vastly improper, and she would be terrified to wake up and find a man kissing her.
However, there might be another way...
This story is wholesome and contains no erotic or steamy content. However, it does contain a flock of geese, a billy goat, a donkey, horses, a pack of foxhounds, a tame ferret, an abandoned kitten, a retired sheepdog and a parrot who swears in a Scottish accent.
Genre: Historical Romance
