And, the story begins, "Bruce Abbott, reporter for 'All Over Magazine' had gone to Ganymede to uncover a rumor about a mysterious growth factor there, uncovered by a fast-talking promoter named Vernon Schiller. This growth factor is thought to be an effective Cancer vaccine. Schiller has disappeared into thin air, and the patrol from Colony city, the tiny settlement on Ganymede, couldn't do very much. Reluctantly, the editor of the magazine agrees to let Nina Rollins try to find him. Nina was at the public library gathering micro tapes on Schiller when she first saw the bearded stranager who was seeking issues of newspapers form 25 year back. There was something strange...a haunted quality about this man, and his clothes were strange too. Nina's reporter's instinct told her that there was a story behind this man. From here the plot only thickens with a trip to the deadly rain forest of Ganymede which could hold the terrible secret of Bruce Abbott's disappearance..this was the beginning of the strangest quest that anyone had ever undertaken---the quest to find a man who had stolen 25 years from another person's life"......A truly Classic Science Fiction story "Bridge To Yesterday" was written under the pseudomyn of E. L. Arch, by one of the few female science fiction writers of the day. The main character of the story, Nina, happens to be a female (also very unusual in early science fiction history). There were only 136 'Avalon Science Fiction' books published from 1956 through 1968 with this title being one of the harder to find.
