Kingdom of Darkness

Hank Maxwell and Brad Tucker came to Biafra to make money, flying as mercenary pilots in the civil war. To them the conflict at ground level was remote, until their Czech fighter is shot down over the mission at Bumaru. Here, Maxwell falls in love with courageous Mary Kerrigan, and when the mission is bombed by those who were once his friends, he begins a perilous journey to evacuate a truckful of sick and wounded children through the war zones.
