Free Fall was originally published in 1990 by Orion Books; and Indigo Slam first came out in 1998. This omnibus edition brings the two stories together in one volume, again published by Orion Books, in paperback format, 2009, 294pp, ISBN 9781407221106. Storylines: Free Fall: Jennifer Sheridan hires Elvis Cole and Joe Pike because she believes that her fiance, a decorated LA cop in an elite plainclothes unit, is in trouble. The two are soon caught up in a world of South Central gangs, corrupt cops and conspiracies of silence. It is not long before every cop in LA is gunning for Elvis and Joe, now accused of murder. Indigo Slam: Hired to find a missing dad, detective Elvis Cole follows a series of clues to Seattle, where he runs afoul of the newly emerging Russian Mafia and U.S. Federal Marshals as he discovers more about his client's missing father.
