Oliver Colfax was standing at the bar of a St. Louis hotel when he heard the news--the one man he had ever wanted to call a friend had been killed. Colfax had once been hired to kill the lawman, but had stopped himself before carrying out his job. Now he sets out to avenge the murder of the only truly honest man he had ever known.
