When Rip Cantrell, a seismic survey worker in the Sahara, finds a piece of metal entombed in the sandstone, it isn't long before he uncovers a flying saucer that has been resting there for 140,000 years. His discovery doesn't remain a secret for long. The U.S. Air Force sends a UFO investigation team, which arrives minutes before a team sent by an Australian billionaire to steal the saucer's secrets. A year after Rip Cantrell discovered the flying saucer buried in the sands of the Sahara, another saucer is brought up from the bottom of the Atlantic. The recovery is funded by a pharmaceutical executive who believes that the saucer holds the key to an antiaging drug formula that space travelers would need in order to voyage between galaxies. However, one of the executive's technicians, Adam Solo, an alien marooned on Earth for more than a thousand years, steals the saucer, hoping to summon a starship to rescue him. Unfortunately, the stolen saucer has damaged communications gear. Solo goes to Rip and his partner, Charley Pine, for help. As a world fearful of space invaders approaches meltdown, big pharma moguls are hot on the trail of Rip, Charley, and Solo.
