When founding Visionary Tongue magazine, Storm Constantine and Louise Coquio determined to produce something innovative. They recruited a rolling cast of guest editors, including the likes of Graham Joyce, Kim Newman, Brian Stableford, Freda Warrington, and Christopher Fowler, obtained contributions from such luminaries as Neil Gaiman, and set about finding the very best in new dark fiction. VT gave early exposure to the work of emerging writers such as Justina Robson, Tim Lebbon, Katherine Roberts, Liz Williams, Jaine Fenn, Fiona McGavin and Ian Whates.

About the Contributors
In compiling this anthology, Storm has revisited all those old issues, and selected a host of gleaming gems from amongst the content. With some three dozen stories (and the occasional poem) in the paperback edition, and four bonus stories in the hardback, this truly is a volume to savour.
Storm says of these stories: "I'd forgotten how good they were, how fresh, sometimes funny, sometimes poignant, often dark, always entertaining."
The book includes several internal illustrations by cover artist Ruby, featuring artwork that originally adorned the magazine's covers.
Genre: Urban Fantasy
