Exploring Farnham Castle, her employer's latest research project, Ella finds an antique painting in one of the abandoned rooms. Compelled by an unseen force to touch the picture, Ella is transported back to 1888 to the bedroom of Lord Wallace Hastings. Words of her poem begin to resurface as Ella struggles to find a way back to her time and the world she knows, and she again questions their meaning. Will mear words haunting Ella from the past be her key back to her own time? What of the love she's begun to feel for the dashing Lord Hastings?
