Mystery lover and retired real estate broker, Agnes Rogers, is still adjusting to retirement two years after her move to Happy Years Retirement Village in Palmdale, FL. Her dreams of visiting Greece are stymied by the tight hold that her investment banker son keeps on her checkbook, so she has to find creative ways to pay for her dream.
Rose, her neighbor and friend, is fond of telling her, “You’re old and getting older. Embrace the rocker or change your life.” Embracing the rocker is not in Agnes’s plan by a long shot and when three new mysterious residents move in, she seizes the opportunity to change her life from bored boomer to active senior.
Agnes pulls in a colorful cast of characters to start a pet sitting, house sitting and cleaning LLC. But before the adventurous ladies can say, “Mr. Clean”, she discovers a body in a client’s wine cellar.
When she discovers yet another body, this time at Happy Living Retirement Village, her quest for excitement suddenly gives her more than she bargained for. Agnes ropes in retired journalist and neighbor, Rose, as well as Happy Living’s newest resident, retired New York Detective Robert Gordon, to help clear her fledgling company’s name.
