Annabel Dilke was born in London and is a novelist, former BBC journalist and screenwriter. Her work has been shortlisted for the Dennis Potter Award and the Sunday Express Award and selected as Sunday Times 'Pick of the Year'. She has published five novels though her latest, The Inheritance, is a new direction in her writing. She is widowed, with one daughter, and lives in South London. Her inspiration for The Inheritance and subsequent novels comes from being part of an enormous family mostly based in the West Country.
