Two years into what feels like the world's longest internship, I'm worried I won't make it to the end. Between my two nightmare bosses—the first, a sexual harassment lawsuit waiting to happen, the second, a malicious terror in high heels—and my eccentric personality with OCD tendencies, life hasn't been easy. When I meet an arrogant—hot as sin—asshole in an alleyway who punches my boss for hitting on me, no one is more surprised than I am when I start to fall for him. Then, to find out he's a world-renowned, pretentious artist with a bad attitude—one I happened to write my senior thesis on—suddenly, he's shaking up my carefully constructed world, challenging me at every turn.

Mason

After being stuck in a years-long creative block, aimlessly wandering around the world, my brother convinces me to visit him in Boston, and since I'm not doing anything else worthwhile, I go. It's the last place I expected to find inspiration. Lemon is sexy, adorable, strange, and has more talent in her pinky than she knows what to do with. Somehow, she's become my muse. With my upcoming show at her gallery, I'll do whatever I can to help Lemon make it to the end of the year with her internship intact. But even my influence may not be enough to help her come out unscathed.

-This work of fiction has been republished, rewritten, and re-edited under a different title, Lemon, My Muse: a stand-alone, dual POV, slow burn, age-gap M/F romance with steamy sex scenes, no cliffhanger, no cheating, HEA. At 75K words, it includes [content warning]: descriptions of very graphic/sexually explicit scenes intended for mature (18+) audiences only and on-page mentions and one scene of sexual harassment and assault.

Genre: Romance
