Mary McLane Carson has two lives and two loves. She has time travel mysteries she can't understand, and secrets she can never tell.
In 2015, Pilot Mary McLane Carson struggles with a left engine fire. Her airplane plunges through a strange flash of light, crash-landing into a Kansas field. She wakes up, alone, in December 1942, being cared for by the handsome Dr. Thomas Fleming.
Shortly after Epic Airlines flight 452 takes off from Denver en route to Chicago, an engine catches on fire, and the airplane bursts through a strange flash of light. Single mother and First Officer Mary McLane (“Lane”) Carson fights to stay airborne as the plane plunges toward the earth.
Lane awakens in a strange bed, in the office of a handsome doctor who says he rescued her from a plane crash that’s being investigated by the Army and the FBI. He also tells her she’s living in December 1942.
As the days and weeks pass, Lane is forced to establish a new life in 1942 in order to survive, but she misses her 2-year-old daughter, her fiancé, and her life in 2015. She struggles to find a way to return to them, knowing that such an attempt could hurl her into an unknown past or future, or even kill her.
But she must try...
