Dr. Morelle Intervenes

Doctor Morelle and Miss Frayle await the last train to London...at its approach, the village station attendant rushes to open the level crossing gates. Later, however, on the train, they learn that following a fatal crash, the station's level crossing had been replaced by a bridge! Exactly five years earlier the stationmaster had been killed as he vainly attempted to open the gates. And on the anniversary of the disaster, it's reputed that his ghost returns...
